Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive insect, that is devastating Ash tree populations across the entire United States. For Colorado, EAB first appeared in Boulder in 2013. In 2019 it was identified in Broomfield, Larimer, and Adams Counties. Infestation was confirmed in Arvada in 2020. Since then Erie, Thornton, Loveland, Centennial, and Lakewood have all detected EAB.
